# Cultures and species First, let’s create a structured overview of all cultures and species, and then decide which of these we’ll explore in level 1 (marked with emoji). To make things easier, we’ll do a current time snapshot (beginning of the novel), and then add historical species at the end. ## [[Allist'han✅]] There’s one humanoid species: [[Species - Humans ✅]] on [[Allist'han✅]] ## [[Etral'han💭]] There are 3 humanoid species: [[Species - Ksall'i ✅]], [[Species - Magox’i✅]] und [[Species - Abyssno’i ✅]] on [[Etral'han💭]]. Despite major differences, they share some features that allow them to interact and influence each other: They are of comparable physical size and general shape, including brain size, they share general biological characteristics like being mammals with bigender sexual reproduction, and they use voice and language as fundamental means of communication. They even share some basic cultural traits, especially the use of written books to store and transmit information. As there’s a universal language spoken across the world, they can communicate with each other. The species do not interbred, there are no known cases of hybrids (although sometimes the idea of hybrids is used in gossip, mythology, and propaganda). They live in 2 distinct physical locations: While [[Species - Ksall'i ✅]] live in the continent of [[Ksall'han]], [[Species - Abyssno’i ✅]] and [[Species - Magox’i✅]] share the island of [[Nadlee'han💭]] as habitat. As far as historically known, there have been no major attempts of [[Species - Ksall'i ✅]] to settle on [[Nadlee'han💭]] and vice versa. This arrangement is solidified by a carefully balanced arrangement between the species with the [[Species - Ksall'i ✅]] using [[Nadlee'han💭]] as temporary travel destination for entertainment and (partially) religious purposes, and the [[Nadlee'i]] refraining from travel to the continent for lack of interest, means of transportation, and a long standing tradition to label the continent as dangerous. However, in childhood, [[Species - Humans ✅|Humans]] can transfer between the worlds much more easily. As a result, most [[Etral'han]] cultures have myths and historical records of strange appearances of [[Species - Humans ✅|Humans]] - not necessarily in human form, but in a large variety of forms, described as unicorns, princesses, or [[Etral'han]] sepcies with special abilites or physical traits. However, they have no ability to prove it.
