# Godrin > [!warning]+ Orange - Moderate Spoilers Godrin is a male [[Species - Abyssno’i ✅]] and the twin brother of [[1 • Projects/P • Das Buch/Floflake 01.0 - Act Level Draft - 2026-04/Lou]]. He’s also 25 years old, but he’s very different from her. Where she fully submits to play her role in the [[Thysi’een]], he tries everything to back off - and he manages by working in an [[Eidet'naos ✅]], the only place that connects the [[Thysi’een]] and the [[Flor’een]] in [[Nadlee'han💭]]. He specializes in the study of knowledge and wisdom itself, and so he’s perfectyl aware of the differences in written lore, access to knowledge, and different types of texts, scriptures etc. As such, he’s a special character, as he’s pivotal in Peter’s A story AND his B-Story: For the external story, we need someone who can be the counterpart in discovering the lack of fictional storytelling and literature in [[Etral'han💭]], and that is Godrin. For the B Story, he’s his love interest and will teach him true connection. What do we know of Godrin? 1. **Godrin is the core counterpart in the ‘Bad Guys Closing in’ - as he does not travel to [[Ksall'han]] with the others**: We might meet Godrin shortly in the beginning of the journey, however, he will not be with the group in the first half of the novel. Well, we might have [[Peter Pankratius Pek|Peter]] think about him after he has seen him once - however, he only enters the scene after the [[Thysi’een]] ended, the [[Flor’een]] started, and the [[shamrock]] dissolved with [[Peschbel ✅]]‘s dissapearance, [[Xandro ✅]]’s fall into the [[Inermors’sigil]], and [[1 • Projects/P • Das Buch/Floflake 01.0 - Act Level Draft - 2026-04/Lou]]‘s punishment. He intervens when the (TBD powerful elders of the [[Species - Abyssno’i ✅]]) want to eliminate [[Peter Pankratius Pek|Peter]], arguing that with his knowledge from [[Allist'han✅]], he might hold valuable insights to improve the [[Eidet'naos ✅]], allowing [[Nadlee'han💭]] to sustain the balance between [[Thysi’een]] and [[Flor’een]] better. They become closely connected, partners in trying to find the [[TBD The Book That Heals the World]] on [[Nadlee'han💭]], and lovers. 2. **Godrin is physically disabled**: With his disability, Godrin contrasts [[Peter Pankratius Pek|Peter]]‘s concept of attractiveness. By building a relationship based on trust, honesty, caring love, friendship, and careful joy, Peter learns to not only open up but also to listen empathically, and to understand that relationships are not a miracle, but also something carefully nurtured and grown. Godrin’s disability makes sex difficult, and Peter needs to learn to accomodate Godrin’s needs to be able to connect with him. By doing so, he will learn to accept his own dissability, and start to replace wishful thinking and masking with authenticity, needs, boundaries, and structural, jointly buildt solutions. 3. **Godrin is critically aware of the dangers of the [[Nostri’con]]**: As a specialist for the [[Eidet'naos ✅]]’, an [[Eidet’arun]], he’s more aware than anybody else about the construction of reality via media, and therefore able to critically reflect the effects that the [[Nostri’con]] have for both [[Nadlee'han💭]] and [[Ksall'han]]. He’s therefore the one who is able to identify the role that the [[Nostri’con]] has in the destructive dynamic of the island, becoming an important ressource for change in the third act. 4. **Godrin is rather distant to [[1 • Projects/P • Das Buch/Floflake 01.0 - Act Level Draft - 2026-04/Lou]], and, as a consequence, [[Xandro ✅]] and [[Peschbel ✅]]**: As Godrin does not approve of the [[Species - Abyssno’i ✅]]‘s policy to accept the [[Thysi’een]] as an unchangable force of nature, he’s also critical of her way of dealing with [[Xandro ✅]] and the [[Lupag’on]]. He loves her as his sister, however, they do not get along very well due to their different ways of dealing with the state of the world. So, he doesn’t really know [[Xandro ✅]] and [[Peschbel ✅]], and he would be rather annoyed by [[Peter Pankratius Pek|Peter]] if he wasn’t so attraced by him. 5. **When confronted with the truth about [[TBD The Book That Heals the World]], he is the only one who trusts the knowledge enough to argue in favor of following it.** Based on his conviction that wisdom is a force for change, he thinks that eating the fruit of [[Jezz'ir]] is actually worth trying - even at the risk of destroying [[Etral'han💭]] entirely. Ok, that was our round through the most important characters on level 1. We’re still missing some other characters, but I think for this first round, we’re good. And so it’s time to return to [[A. Characters ✅]]
